Inviting someone
Add a teammate to your organization.
Owners can invite anyone with a Hourdini account to join their organization.
Send an invite
Open Settings -> Members and click Invite. Fill in:
- Email. The address of the person you're inviting. They must already have a Hourdini account at that address.
- Role. Owner, Member, or Viewer.
- Clients (Viewers only). Which clients the viewer should have read-access to. You can change this later.
When you confirm, an invite is created. The invitee sees it in their own workspace's Invites page the next time they sign in.
"But they don't have a Hourdini account"
We don't send "click this link to sign up" invites; they're a vector for spam, account squatting, and email-enumeration attacks. Ask the person to sign up at hourdini.app first, then invite the address they registered with.
Accepting an invite
The invitee opens Invites in their workspace, reviews who invited them and what role they're being offered, and clicks Accept.
When they accept:
- They become a member of your org.
- Their active organization snaps to yours so they land in the right place on their next page load.
- If they're a Viewer, the client grants you set up are applied atomically.
If they click Decline, the invite is gone and you'll need to send a new one if you change your mind.
Pending invites
The Members page lists every invite you've sent that hasn't been accepted or declined yet. You can revoke a pending invite from there.
You can only have one pending invite per email address per organization. If you try to invite the same person twice, we'll point you at the existing invite.
